Withdrawing Smart Meter Consent - Frequently Asked Questions
1.Can I withdraw my consent?
Yes. You can withdraw your consent for QGEMS to access your smart meter data at any time.
To withdraw your consent, go to:
Settings > Connections > Smart Meter > Revoke Consent
2. What happens when I revoke my consent?
Revoking your consent will remove QGEMS' access to your smart meter data.
It will also disconnect any inverter or heat pump you have connected to QGEMS.
3. Can I still use the QGEMS app after revoking consent?
No. Revoking your smart meter consent will also remove your access to the QGEMS app.
Smart meter data is required for most of the features provided by QGEMS, so an active smart meter connection is required to continue using the app.
4. What happens to my connected inverter or heat pump?
Any inverter or heat pump you have added to QGEMS will be disconnected when you revoke your smart meter consent.
5. Can I give consent again in the future?
Yes. If you change your mind, you can grant QGEMS consent to access your smart meter data again in the future and reconnect to the service.
6. Will QGEMS continue accessing my smart meter after I revoke consent?
No. Revoking your consent removes QGEMS' access to your smart meter data.
