Tesla Connection - Connecting to a different Tesla Inverter and Clearing Cookies

This  article is a guide to users on how to clear their cookies so that they can connect to a different tesla account (Please follow this is ONLY if you wish to remove your current Tesla inverter and connect to a new Tesla Inverter).

If you are currently connected to a Tesla Inverter and wish to disconnect from this inverter and connect to a new Tesla Inverter, please follow the following guide:

 

1. Log into your QGEMS account and go to Account by tapping on the burger menu at the top right of the app

 

2. Scroll down and tap Configure Inverter, you will see the Tesla Inverter you are currently connected to. Provided you want to disconnect from this Tesla inverter and wish to connect to another Tesla inverter please delete this inverter by clicking on Delete. 

 

3. Once deleted go to your default web browser and delete your cookies, these steps vary between device and web browser so please use the steps set out for your device and default browser below:

 

 

For iPhone or iPad users depending on you default browser:

 

Safari App:

On Your iPhone/iPad > Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Tap Remove All Website Data.

 

 

Chrome App:

On Your iPhone/iPad > Go to the Chrome App > Tap More More > Delete Browsing Data > Cookies, Site Data >Tap Done

 

For Android phone or tablet users depending on your default browser:

 

Chrome App:

On your Android device > Go to the Chrome App > At the top right, tap More >  Settings > Tap Privacy and security > Delete browsing data > Select from All Time > Tick Cookies Tap Delete data > Delete.

 

 

Firefox App:

Open the Firefox App Tap on the Menu button with three dots in the top right corner of your screen and tap it > Access Settings > Select 'Delete Browsing Data' > Select Cookies > Clear the Data.

 

 

For Web users depending on your default browser

Chrome Web Browser:

Open Chrome Browser > Click the three dots in the top right corner > Select History > Select Clear Browsing Data > Select All time > Check Cookies and other site data only > Click Delete data.

 

Firefox Web Browser

Open Firefox Browser > Click the menu button (three lines) in the top right corner of the Firefox window  > Click Settings > Click Privacy & Security on the left side > Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data  >Click Clear Data > In the new dialog box, choose Cookies > Click Clear > Click Clear Now to confirm

 

Edge Browser

Open Edge Browser > Click on the Edge menu (3 dots) on the top right hand side >Click Settings > On the left hand side, click Cookies and site permissions >Under the Manage and delete cookies and site data section > click See all cookies and site data > Click Remove all

 

4. Re-open the QGEMs app after clearing the web browser cookies, tap the Profile icon, this will take you to the Account page

 

5. Scroll down and tap Configure Inverter , tap on Create Inverter > Select an Inverter > Select Tesla > Confirm that you consent to us accessing your data by ticking the consent box > click Connect

 

6. You will be directed to the Tesla portal to Sign into your Tesla Inverter, enter your Tesla Username and Password and click Next

 

6. Provided you have successfully connected you will get a QGEMS notification page to say you have successfully connected

 

7. You can close the QGEMS confirmation page and go back to the QGEMS app

 

7. Go back to Account > Configure Inverter > Select your Inverter and click Connect

 

8. You should now be connected to your new Tesla inverter
